Sulligent First Baptist Church was founded May 20, 1890, in the small town of Sulligent, AL, which is in west Alabama. For over 120 years First Baptist has sought to exist for, in the words of the organizing members, “the glory of God” and “the advancement of the Redeemer’s Kingdom.” A Southern Baptist Church, FBC has grown from 9 original members to a membership of over 500. God is still working in and through First Baptist in active, serving ministries of all kinds. The vibrant Sunday School, Missions Organizations and Worship Services as well as our Music Ministry, Children’s & Youth Ministries and Senior Adult Ministries provide outlets for personal spiritual growth and opportunities for reaching out to the lost in our community and surrounding area.
